Migration is the movement of people from one place in the world to another for the purpose of taking up permanent or semi permanent resident, usually across a political boundary. Migration is both a cause and effect of broader development processes and intrinsic feature of our ever globalizing world. Over the last 25 years, there has been little concerted effort to incorporate gender into theories of migration. Yet, understanding gender is critical in the migration context. About half of the migrants in the world today are women. According to World Bank’s Migration and Remittances fact book, in 2013, the percentage of international migrants world wide increased by 33% with 59% of migrants are women. We know that it’s common for women’s position in the family improve in some ways with migration. But it affects intergenerational relations in the family. There are two types of women migration i.e., associational and autonomous migration. Autonomous migration of married women is for employment purpose. It has significant effect on family. This paper addresses the social and economic impact of married women migration based on the survey conducted in Neendoor Panchayat in Kottayam district. The study exclusively is based on secondary data. The data were collected from previous studies, various journals, government reports, magazines and websites. The annual growth rate and percentage analysis were used to interpret the data. The study shows that year wise growth rate of solar street lights are fluctuating during the study period. It is revealed that 12.97 per cent are highest growth rate and -74.35 percent are lowest growth rate recorded in 2012-2013 and 2010-2011 respectively. Out of seven states the installation of off-grid solar street lights was 36.12 per cent in Tamil Nadu, 26.63 per cent in Andhra Pradesh, 20.63 per cent in Kerala, 8.72 per cent in Karnataka. Above the states, Tamil Nadu is the highest share in the installation of solar street lights in India during the study period of 2009-10 to 2014-15.The union territories of Andaman & Nicobar (3.46 per cent), Lakshadweep (2.89per cent), as followed by Pondicherry (1.56 per cent) is the very lowest installation of the solar street lighting system as compared to the southern states in India. As a result the growing labour force has been striving a lot for survival in the job market. The slothful employment creation shifts the bargaining power from the worker to employer due to reduced demand for labour consequently wage level may reduces in the economy. It reduces the aggregate demand and income levels and generates more socio-economic tribulations. This certainly hinders the economic growth and development both in the long-run and short-run. Urbanization which is considered as one of the most important indicators of economic development has led people to concentrate around cities. Uncontrolled urbanization which arises as an aftermath of industrialisation, lead to migration of people to urban areas. At present more than 54 percent of people reside in urban areas and by 2050, it is expected to be more than 70 percent. Rapid population growth and migration towards urban areas increased the demand for food, shelter, water and basic necessities. Due to migration of people to urban areas, the fertile agricultural land has been converted into concrete structures. In many developing countries, due to hunger, demand of food produce, growing poverty, lack of employment opportunities, and the availability of cheap resources including organic wastes and wastewater in cities have resulted in the development of urban and peri-urban agriculture (UPA).While urban agriculture practices become widespread and have become a hot topic of discussion in major cities across the country, an exact picture of urban agricultural practices in Kerala has not yet been studied. Traditionally people In Kerala used to grow vegetables in the backyards of home. As development progressed, the land around the houses disappeared. At present no place is left for kitchen gardens at home. Ernakulum is just an example. Terrace farming which forms a part of Urban agricultural movement is gaining popularity in the city of Ernakulum. The District Administration has launched ‘Zero Waste and Safe-to-Eat Vegetable’ project in 2012. The project is implemented as a joint initiative of the District Agri Horticulture Society (DAHS) and Vegetable and Fruit Promotion Council (VFPCK), by utilising the funds from National Horticulture Board (NHB). Large number of households are engaged in terrace farming activities in Thiruvankulam Panchayath. So in this context it is important to analyse horticulture production by households through terrace farming. This study aims to analyse the Economic Impact of Terrace Farming in urban area. It has led to a great transformation in the industry. The traditional product-oriented bank is becoming increasingly customer-oriented in accordance with the basic principles of relational marketing, which focuses on customer loyalty as its main goal. In this sense, Gilmore (1997) considers that constant customer oriented behaviour is a requisite for improving the implementation of quality in services marketing. In this sense, Barnes and Howlett (1998) argue that, given that many financial services are parity offerings, it can be stated that a customer is unlikely to be overly impressed by core product attributes when all companies are providing similar offerings. In the present study Gross Output (GO) is used as proxy of Economic Growth. The study takes into consideration the recent advances in econometric techniques. The study shows the high degree of correlation between GO and EXP. The variables are tested for stationarity applying Augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) test. To determine the cause and effect relationship between GO and EXP, Granger Causality test and Vector autoregression (VAR) model have been used. Granger Causality results suggest that there is unidirectional causality between GO and EXP. The Vector auto regression (VAR) model has explained that there is a strong cause and effect relationship between the variables in the present study. The GST aims to streamline the taxation structure in the country and replace a gamut of indirect taxes with a singular GST to simplify the taxation procedure. The system will phase out all indirect taxes and only GST will be applied as an indirect tax. It will apply on both Goods and Services. Taxes like excise duty, VAT, service tax, luxury tax etc will go with GST’s implementation. GST is essentially a consumption tax and is levied at the final consumption point. The principle used in GST taxation is Destination Principle. It is levied on the value addition and provides set offs. As a result, it avoids the cascading effect or tax on tax which increases the tax burden on the end consumer. It is collected on goods and services at each point of sale in the supply line. The GST that a merchant pays to procure goods or services can be set off later against the tax applicable on supply of goods and services. Of course, some social media platforms are more popular than others, but even the smaller ones get used by a portion of the population because each one caters to a very different type of person. As social networking becomes more popular among older and younger generations, sites such as Facebook and YouTube gradually undermine the traditionally authoritative voices of news media. In addition, social media began to be one of the ways in which internet marketers and website owners would boost the visibility of their websites. The benefits of social media marketing for business began to become quite clear to business owners large and small. Social media bookmarking became quite popular and there were services that would bookmark a post or a website across dozens or even hundreds of social media services.
