Abstract

In the era of globalization of development all over the globe, Capital has become the crucial aspect and major concern for countries, especially for the developing ones like India. Most developing countries consider Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) has become one of the major resources for this. Countries are found to be in a constant race to attract more of foreign fund inflows or FDI for their growth and development. The objective of this paper is to study the impact of new FDI policy in India on the employment generation capacity and also on the economic growth; it will go through sector-wise analysis of recent FDI policy reforms in India and analyze its ability to generate employment and productivity in India.
