This paper attempts to make an ecofeministic reading of her brilliantly crafted novel Surfacing. There is an invisible and intangible parallel between the marginalization of women and the exploitation of nature under the stipulations of the anthropocentric world. The novel vividly portrays how the protagonist identifies herself with the Canadian wilderness and thereby draws sustenance from it. ER -
