Food Habits in the Worship of Gods by the Sangam People
Abstract
There are three essential needs for a human being. They are food, clothing, and shelter. Among these, all the food items required for survival are gifts given by nature. Just as ‘a man without clothes is half a man’, it can be said that ‘a man without food is also a lifeless man’. Therefore, rather than those who earn money for a luxurious life, there are more people who believe that this income and birth exist only to seek and eat good food. Everyone follows food patterns according to their lifestyle. In that way, the purpose of thisresearch article is to examine the foods created for worship by the people of the Sangam period.
