Cultural Elements of Tamil Newspapers Dinamani and Dinathanthi
Abstract
This enhanced research article examines how two leading Tamil daily newspapers Dinamani and Dinathanthi function not only as news providers but also as cultural institutions that shape linguistic consciousness, preserve social traditions, and influence public opinion in Tamil society. By analyzing editorial style, circulation reach, festival coverage, political and social impacts, digital transitions, and reader engagement, this study highlights their contributions and ongoing challenges in maintaining Tamil language and culture in a rapidly evolving media landscape.
