Abstract

This study examines how Ki. Rajanarayanan, a writer from the Karisal region, portrays in his works the life experiences of the people, the challenges faced by family members in leading their lives, the agricultural practices of farmers, and how people lived through joint family systems, including the problems and occupations within such families. K. Rajanarayanan has depicted these aspects in vivid detail through his writing. He has not only illustrated the problems women face in the family and the simplicity of their family life, but has also incorporated the colloquialisms of the Karisal region. Based on this, the objective of this study is to examine the family-oriented lifestyles portrayed in K. Rajanarayanan’s stories.
