The Demonstrative Pronoun ‘Ikaram’ and the Metrical Structure in the Divya Prabandham
Abstract
Words are classified as single-letter words, two-letter words, and words consisting of more than two letters. Sentence structure is formed using phrases such as subject phrases, predicate phrases, and case phrases. The predicate phrase is the main component of a sentence. The subject phrase and the object phrase function based on the predicate phrase In sentences such as complex and compound sentences, the structure is built with multiple phrases at various levels, including subject, predicate, and object. A complex sentence or compound sentence as some call it is constructed using multiple clauses depending on the context and meaning. Based on the sentence structure that emerges in prose, a syntactic theory has been developed for the language of Divya Prabandham.
