Abstract

All major cities have long market streets. Historically, streets were separately designated for selling specific items like jewelry, furniture, groceries, toys, and clothes. A significant milestone in the development of T. Nagar was the ability to purchase all goods in one place. This led to the growth of consumer culture, and T. Nagar shines as an icon of commercial enterprise. From its inception until today, this area has undergone numerous changes and renovations, which this article describes.
