Abstract

Transgender individuals have every right and freedom to live and move about in this society like any other human being. However, in practice, this is often not accepted by society. Despite this, society creates an environment where transgender individuals who attempt to live in this society face various hardships and crises. There is a need for everyone to take action to ensure that transgender individuals can live freely and with dignity in this society, just like men and women, and to rescue them from their current predicament. The Dravidian movement has achieved various accomplishments for transgender people. Numerous studies have been conducted on the Dravidian movement concerning
rationalist thought, feminist thought, and social thought. However, in the present era, transgender individuals are improving their livelihoods by engaging in government jobs and self-employment. Studies on transgender people from the perspective of the Dravidian movement have not been undertaken. If research is conducted on this topic in the future, transgender individuals will gain recognition in society.
