Kadukkai Seed as Beyond the Values of Mother

Abstract

A Study of Select Poetry of Chithargal: The objective of this research is to bring out the comparision between the medicinal values as inherent in the kadukkai seed which is portrayed by chittargal in their version as they are beyond the values of mother and how did chittargal portray “kaayakalpam” herbals. kadukkai seed is one of the herbal belonging to the category of kaayakalpam. Above all it is further glorified as “kadu and amudham” by the ancient poets in Tamil literature.
