Abstract

Aboriginal methods depend on cultural factors such as the habitat and lifestyle of the people. An examination of the place-names in ancient Tamil literature reveals that they possessed these characteristics. It can be seen that our ancestors named these places Ur, Perur, Muttur, City (a) Capital, Port City and Commercial City according to their structure. That article sets out to explore the affluent areas of residential space that are categorized into the six categories mentioned above.
