Influence of South Indian Cinema among the Undergraduates: Special Reference to Sri Lankan State Universities

Abstract

From that day till today, cinema has been attracting people. But the days when people waited in cinemas have changed and the time has come to watch movies at home. It also poses a great challenge to today’s burgeoning youth society. As such, the study is primarily aimed at identifying the impacts among South Indian Cinema University students. This study uses the characteristic descriptive analysis methodology. The quiz for obtaining the first level data was completed by 124 graduates from the Government University of Sri Lanka and the data was obtained from previous research articles, journals and web articles for the secondary level data. The data obtained are MS. Have been analyzed using Excel software. The main findings of the study are that films contribute in part to the social discipline, knowledge development, political, social and crime discourse of university students, and in part to social cohesion The study also finds that negative comments such as inciting crime, disrupting self-esteem, and leading to family problems and divisions were also mentioned. The study also found that movies are a partial barrier for university students to be careless in university subjects so that university students can go to lectures to get better directories in university exams.
