Abstract

The intervention of castes has terrifyingly plagued Indian politics and its various institutions. Everyone, including those who verbally condemn it, silently and completely accept caste discrimination. This discrimination operates vibrantly in all educational institutions within societies. While condemning the role of castes in politics, scholars also warn that it may begin to function in various ways that could affect national unity to a damaging extent. At the same time, castes make a politically unaware society knowledgeable in the democratic political arena based on ethnic traditional characteristics. History teaches us that all societies originated from the same source. If there is an important role in the economic history of South Tamil Nadu, it is the contribution of the Shanar caste people, known as ‘Santror’ (noble ones). We can see that these people have been called the people of Bhadrakali (Kali). In this article, we will examine Kali and the position of the Shantrors, who are the ancient Tamils.
