Abstract
In the times when humanity lived as animals alongside animals, men and women lived without discrimination, with rights according to their strength. Later, women were considered equal both in group-based systems and in family structures. In early family systems, women were given priority and matrilineal family structures began to form in matriarchal societies, but then patriarchal society’s authority began to rise. This period can be said to be the time when obstacles were placed on women’s thoughts and activities. Subsequently, during the heroic ages and the Sangam period, we can speak of the intimate politics operating behind literary creations. What is called the celebration of the male body in Puram literature and the suppression of the female body in Akam literature according to the needs of propertied society. (Fictions and Truths - K.
