Abstract

The art or science that explains the culture of a particular ethnic group is called ethnography. "Ethnography is the science that fully understands the culture of a society with unique lifestyle patterns and systematically compiles and presents it."¹ S. Tamilselvi is the one who created the novel 'Geethari' by selecting the lifestyle field of goat herders, living near those people's settlements, and collecting ethnographic information. In this novel, she has portrayed the mentality and ethnographic details of the Idaiyar people who consider goats as their wealth and live accordingly
