Abstract

Chidambaram, known as Thillaiambathi due to the Arulmigu Nataraja Temple built by the Cholas in the 9th century, becomes a divine city, and the Cholas' divine devotion and service to people can be felt. Near this distinguished Thillai temple, there are some sacred places. Those who visit Thillai also travel to worship at these temples. History mentions that this area stands as a region where many sacred places are located together and also stands as sacred places sung in Thevaram songs. Therefore, the primary objective of this article is to explain the greatness of the sacred places near Thillai
