Abstract

Apart from individual love events in people's lives, purathiṇai deals with information about other social events. Among them, purathiṇai is a category that extensively discusses news about valor and generosity. The five purathiṇais - Vetchi, Vanji, Uzhinja, Thumbai, and Vaagai - concerning outer conduct all speak about wars, victory achievements, and generous nature. However, Kaanchi is established as a tiṇai that speaks about the impermanence concerning life's events. Paadaan is seen as speaking about the greatness of manhood.
