Abstract

In today’s society, where men and women live together, equal rights and dignity for both have been established. However, in the development of the agricultural society, women’s rights became defined by men. Even during the Sangam and medieval periods, occasional awareness of women’s status arose, but full acknowledgment was not attained. At the beginning of the twentieth century, there was a significant rise in feminist literature. Similarly, in society, women began to recognize themselves and dared to fight for their rights; the awareness of marginalization and being pushed aside started growing. This has been accurately recorded in literature. Women have begun to realize their own identities today. This article highlights how such conditions are reflected in the poems of women poets
