Abstract

In the modern world, the usage of the word 'humaneness' is gradually diminishing day by day. Just as today’s human civilization has expanded, humaneness has declined accordingly. The earliest humans acted freely; many shared the meat obtained from their hunts. In their activities, public welfare was prominent, while self-interest was minimal. With the progress of modern science, nuclear weapons have destroyed the traits of humaneness and have changed man into a selfish individual. The main objective of this article is to highlight the revival of these forgotten traits of humaneness through Vairamuthu’s works in prose form."
