Abstract

Siddhars are those who left their physical bodies to become ethereal beings, who possessed profound knowledge, and who transformed earth into gold. They taught lofty concepts such as ‘life is illusion’ and ‘the body is earth.’ They were experts in alchemy. Though many Siddhars lived and passed away in Tamil Nadu, some continue to exist. They prescribed life guidelines necessary for mental and physical well-being through four paths: medicine, debate, yoga, and knowledge."
