Abstract

Human beings, living in the universe, not only perform various rituals from birth to death but also after death. Every ritual conducted for a person after death has some underlying purpose or significance. This article explores how mantra rituals are represented in the classical Sangam anthology Aingurunooru and the context in which these rituals were performed.
