Abstract

Historical narratives related to the Vellalars convey how this community has preserved and lived by the cultural and traditional values of humanity. The Vellalars possess knowledge about weather patterns, the nature of livestock, diseases, medical practices, and seasonal changes. Their history and cultural practices constitute a unique heritage, which is explained in this article.
