Abstract

Literature is a work that lives through time when it is created in connection with the realities of life and in a way that benefits human society in some manner. Tirukkural, which is revered as the Tamil Veda, and Tirumandiram, which is praised as the Tamil Mantra, embody such noble purpose and lofty ideals. These works reflect profound moral values and social thoughts that guide human life. Through ethical teachings, spiritual insights, and philosophical reflections, both texts contribute significantly to shaping social consciousness and moral discipline within Tamil society.
