Abstract

The language of the Alukurumbars living in the Nilgiris is distinguished by countless grammatical elements to the extent that it can be called an independent Dravidian language. However, this is a language that exists only in spoken form without a separate written script. Linguistic scholars describe it as an uncultivated Dravidian language and also as a branch language of Kannada. Among the grammatical elements of this language, the case grammar is analyzed and explained. The Tamil language is used to explain this language.
