Abstract

The climate, culture, and legal systems of new countries created tremendous shock for Tamils who migrated due to war. In this situation, they had to face various problems related to cultural psychology in their places of refuge. They needed a medium to discuss the thoughts of refugee life lived in alienation, and to convey and express their feelings to Tamils living around the world. Diaspora little magazines functioned as vehicles that carried the feelings of Eelam Tamils across the world.
