Abstract

Art is what can provide the knowledge and ability to fulfill human needs. It encompasses various elements such as action, skill, utility, beauty, and taste. The art form called drama has served as an educational institution that imparts knowledge to people. In earlier times, there were no newspapers, media, or libraries as we have today. Drama stages served as educational institutions and tools that imparted knowledge to people. Since drama had such an elevated social function, ancient Tamils thoroughly examined all the necessary components for it and also formulated grammar for them.
