Abstract

The 18th century was the period when Europeans began to discuss all discourses as part of science. Rationalism, which took the place of religion after the Industrial Revolution, explained everything through logic as a measuring methodology. Contrary to the previous tendency where human mental activities were considered inexplicable and not subject to cause and effect, it was discussed and explained as part of social psychology. Behavioral science, which is one of the scientific disciplines concerning psychological processes and behavior, became part of social science within the academic field when psychologist Wilhelm Wundt established a laboratory for psychology at Leipzig University in Germany in 1870 CE.
