Abstract

Art makes life joyful. Art is the expression of aesthetic sense. It is appropriate to call art the beautiful workmanship that creates attraction in any object or action. Whether on earth or in the heavens, making any object anywhere, anytime in a manner that pleases others - all of this belongs to the realm of art. Even potters beautify their pottery by embedding beautiful flower-like designs and various types of creepers on them. The rangoli patterns drawn by women compete with the morning sun, spreading artistic smiles. Therefore, from daily eating to sleeping, the entirety of life can be called art. Literature speaks of "sixty-four arts." Fine arts express aesthetic appreciation, entertainment, culture, civilization, religion, and such qualities. What provides visible form to the earth is called gross art. These two types of arts unite in society and blend with life - this can be seen extensively throughout the Periyapuranam.
