Abstract
The twentieth century was revolutionized and shaken by several groundbreaking theories — Albert Einstein’s Theory of Relativity, Charles Darwin’s Theory of Evolution, Karl Marx’s Economic Theory, and Sigmund Freud’s Theory of Psychology — all of which have been highly valued by scholars. Among these, psychology holds a particularly close connection with literature. Through the lens of psychological thought concerning the individual, this study attempts to interpret selected Sangam classics, particularly Maduraikanchi and Nedunalvadai. The focus is on understanding how the psychological insights related to human individuality can illuminate the emotional and intellectual depth found within these classical Tamil works.
