Teaching Tamil to High School Students through Visual Language

Abstract

Language is the tool used to distinguish humans from animals. From children to adults start expressing their opinion through this language. Through language we acquire various skills. Speaking, reading, listening and writing are called basic skills. Along with these skills, more emphasis is now being given to the ability to see. Because the ability to understand through the ability to see is of great benefit to students. Students’ attention also increases. Their reading skills also grow. Thus visual language becomes important in Tamil language teaching.
