Abstract

This article attempts to summarize the nature, appearance and unity of the Kudavarai temples that were seen in the Pallavar period and the general characteristics of the Mahendravarma Pallavar temples. Mahendravarman was the first to create a new method of temple construction which had not existed before in Tamil Nadu. That is, the method of constructing Kudaimandapam and Karpagraha on the same black stone rock is called Gudavarakoil. manifested itself in the temple system. In this, literature, excellence and painting were established. This article has been set up to document the Kudaivara temple built by Mahendravarman among the Pallava kings.
