Abstract
Rev. Imenius Iyer, affectionately called the “Apostle of Nellai,” completed his theological training and, hearing the call “Follow Me,” traveled to India to carry out his mission. Staying in Thamankampadi, he taught at the Tamil language missionary school. The first school he established was in Vannarpetta, Tirunelveli. Over time, he founded several other schools and continuously provided theological instruction. Imenius’s contributions to theology and literature were remarkable. He translated the Bible into Tamil and authored numerous textbooks. Through his schools, he imparted moral values and essential educational instruction, leaving a lasting impression on generations. This study highlights his educational and missionary contributions.
