Abstract

Sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) aims to maximise profits and efficiency while minimising environmental impact. This study looks into important strategies like procurement that takes the environment into account, logistics that are sustainable, production that uses less energy, and cutting down on waste. By including sustainability in supply chain management, businesses can use their resources better, lower their carbon footprint, and work together to make the world a better place. The mixed-method approach was used to combine both qualitative and quantitative data. Surveys were given to students and employees to find out what they thought about SSCM. We used statistical tools like regression analysis, t-tests, and ANOVA to see how sustainability efforts affected the environment.Research indicates that environmentally sustainable supply chain practices not only reduce ecological harm but also yield economic advantages, including cost reduction, regulatory compliance, and customer loyalty. But things like high initial costs, changing rules, and people who don’t want to change make it hard for everyone to use it. The research indicates that organisations must embrace a cohesive, cooperative strategy to tackle obstacles and attain lasting, sustainable results. Businesses can balance economic growth with environmental responsibility by using effective SSCM strategies, which will lead to a more sustainable future.
