Abstract

In ancient times, humans played small games for entertainment and gradually began to appreciate their significance. They became aware of the changes that occur in the body while playing. Playing was understood to be similar to physical exercise. Such games were also played during the Sangam period.

Su. Sakthivel states, “Games are actions that nourish joy. These games are not only for entertainment but also promote physical and mental health. Moreover, games include activities without physical movements as well.” In this study, games played by men, women, and children are presented
