Abstract

Paattum Thogaiyum is a work of Sangam literature. This collection includes both Akam (interior/subjective) and Puram (exterior/objective) aspects of poetry. The text is also referred to in an old tradition as OnguParipaadal, which indicates its significance. Scholars note that it gained its name because the style of the verses flows smoothly, resembling the movement of a stream, which gives it a distinctive and esteemed character
