Abstract

The traits, competencies and motivation level of the entrepreneurs constitute entrepreneurialorientation. It influences the processes, practices and decision-making activities of entrepreneursthatlead to the betterment of the firms. In order to test the relationship between the entrepreneurialorientation and the performance of micro industries in Thoothukudi District, a sample representationof the micro industry entrepreneurs in ThoothukudiDistrict is considered for the survey and the dataobtainedare analysed using correlation method. The findings reveal that there is a significantrelationship between the entrepreneurial orientation and the performance of the firms.
