Lesson Study Model Perception Scale: Validity and Reliability Study

Keywords: Lesson Study, Perception, Scale, Teachers, Professional Development

Abstract

This study aimed to develop the “Lesson Study Model Perception Scale” (LSMPS) and to determine the psychometric properties of the scale. The study was designed as a survey model. A survey model is a research approach that aims to describe a situation as it is. When all the findings obtained to determine the psychometric properties of the scale developed within the scope of the research are evaluated together, it is investigated that the measurements obtained from the scale and the inferences to be made based on these findings are reliable and valid. Existing literature revealed that there are limited number of studies that determine how the LS model is perceived by teachers. It is seen that none of these studies attempted to develop a scale to measure teachers’ perceptions of the LS model. The lack of a study in this context in the literature shows the originality of the study.
